Code of Conduct


The LEX Network recognises that discrimination, prejudice and victimisation on the basis of personal attributes, including gender identity and expression, is a violation of human rights and it will not tolerate it. The network is fully committed to policies and practices that ensure all members are able to participate in its activities and to ensure that LEX is a safe, supportive and respectful environment for all.

  • The Board asks that all members respect others’ opinions;

  • The Board will not tolerate discriminatory emails or posts. This includes content that abuses, harasses, stalks or threatens others; that is libellous, knowingly false or misrepresents another person or their opinion; violates an obligation of confidentiality and violates the privacy of others;

  • If a network member believes that a post to the discussion List contains content that is unacceptable, please notify the LEX list board;

  • The board expects anyone it asks to stop unacceptable behaviour to comply immediately and

  • If a member engages in unacceptable behaviour on the discussion or mailing lists, the board may take any action it deems appropriate, including issuing a warning, a temporary ban or permanent expulsion from LEX.
